Research question: In elecive total Joint arthoplasty patients do MRSA and MSSA screening and decolonization resuce surgical site infections?

What would my independent and dependent variable(s) be?

Would the independent variable be the proper use of the treatment medication, operating room facility practices ie prep, sterile technique, patient co morbidity…?

Would my dependent variable be the elective total joint replacement patient?
