Let’s consider discussing an example that can help you understand construals.  For example, most any debate between the Republican and Democratic parties in Washington.  For instance, the recent investigation into the impact on the 2016 presidential election of ads placed by Russia on Facebook and other social media sites: Republicans viewed the ads as harmless, hoaxes, and information having little impact on the election. Democrats, however, saw the ads as clear interference with an election that should have resulted in their candidate being elected president.
